Part 1: Setup Your Account

Start here: Create your LinkedIn account using your personal email address so you can access your profile after graduation.

Go to https://www.linkedin.com/ and click Join now.
Use your personal email (not a temporary school login if you will lose access).
Create a secure password you can remember, then complete email verification if prompted.
Enter your real first and last name, school or current role, and location so your account setup can finish.
Sign in successfully and confirm you can open your own profile page.

Common Setup Issues

I already have an account: Use Sign in instead of Join now, then reset your password if needed.
I did not get the verification email: Check Spam/Junk and search for "LinkedIn" in your inbox.
It asks for phone verification: Complete the prompt, then continue account setup.
I accidentally used the wrong email: Sign out and restart account creation with your personal email.

If you get stuck during setup, raise your hand before moving to Part 2.

Click Connect and send a connection request to your instructor.
